माता भीमेश्वरी देवी के मंदिर का निर्माण महाभारत काल के दौरान बेरी के प्रसिद्ध नगर कस्बे में महाराज धृतराष्ट्र की पत्नी छोटी कांशी के नाम से हुआ था। माता भीमेश्वरी देवी का यह मंदिर नवरात्रि के समय वर्ष में दो बार नौ दिवसीय मेला आयोजित करता है।
मंदिर के महंत का कहना है कि सेवापुरी में बेरी में देवी भीमेश्वरी देवी का सबसे पुराना मंदिर है। महाभारत काल के दौरान, जब कौरवों और पांडवों का युद्ध चल रहा था, महाबली भीम अपनी जीत के लिए पाकिस्तान में हिंगलाज पर्वत पर मौजूद कुलदेवी को लाने गए थे। उस समय, कुल देवी ने शर्त लगाई थी कि अगर वह उसे युद्ध के मैदान में अपने कंधे पर ले जाएगा, तो वह उसके साथ चलने के लिए तैयार थी। जबकि उसने यह भी कहा कि अगर वह उसे कहीं भी कंधे से उतार लेती, तो वह वहीं बैठी रहती। इसके बाद, जब पांडव पुत्र भीम कुलदेवी के साथ बेरी क्षेत्र में आए, तो उनके पास एक अदूरदर्शी दृश्य था, फिर वे कुलदेवी को एक पेड़ के नीचे ले गए और लघुशंका के लिए चले गए।
जब भीम वापस आया और कुल देवी को उठाने लगा, तो उसने भीम को उसकी हालत याद दिलाई और वह वहीं बैठ गया।
यह भी बताया जाता है कि महाभारत के युद्ध के बाद, दुर्योधन की माँ गांधारी ने इस प्राचीन मंदिर का निर्माण किया था। तब से, नवरात्रि के अवसर पर वर्ष में दो बार एक मेला भी आयोजित किया जाता है। सप्तमी और अष्टमी के दिन, अधिकांश भक्त मंदिर में माथा टेकने आते हैं।
बच्चों का मुंडन कराया जाता है:

माता के मंदिर में दिल्ली से बहादुरगढ़ तक, झज्जर और चारा, दुजाना के माध्यम से जामुन तक पहुंचा जा सकता है। बेरी भिवानी और हिसार से कलानौर के रास्ते आ सकते हैं। चंडीगढ़ से करनाल, पानीपत, रोहतक के माध्यम से, एक डीघल से बेरी मंदिर तक पहुंच सकता है। भक्त झज्जर के रास्ते रेवाड़ी से और महेंद्रगढ़ से चरखी दादरी, चुचवासा, जहाँगढ़ होते हुए बेरी मंदिर पहुँच सकते हैं
